原画「私をスキーにつれてって」
本作品は、双柿舎のために網代幸介が制作したTalismans シリーズの中の一作です。
Talisman とは、お護りや護符の意味。 今回の作品群は、昔むかし、庶民の家に掲げられた板絵です。幸福を祈るため、魔除け、または寓話によってみずからを戒めたりするなど、様々な興味深い物語が描かれています。
ちなみにこの作品 「私をスキーにつれってて」Take Me Skiing には、スキー板は描かれてはいません。上部と右辺に文字が書き込まれていますので、そこになにかスキーに関して書かれているのかもしれませんが、これらの文字はいまだかつて誰にも解読されていないので、判断できかねます。
網代がこれらを「発掘」した際には、土に埋もれており、相当に古い時代のものだと確信したそうです。そのため、額の木材には、経年変化とみられる古色がみられます。
