Functional line of highly acclaimed studio potter, Ohra Koichi.
Elaborately crafted clay strainer is build inside the pot so that loose tea leaves will not come out from or block the spout.
This tea pot wears Blackstone glaze with rich nuance and texture, dry and stone-like to touch. The color is between brown, charcoal and black with copper gold hue.

About Maker
Ohara Koichi is a highly acclaimed studio potter based in Tokoname, Japan. Ohara draws his inspiration from the raw textures in the nature. He mixes various local soils and materials to make his clay, glaze and slip, which often contain grit. Ohara studied physics at Meisei University before becoming a ceramic artist.
