Very soft and super light pair of slippers. You would feel like walking in the cloud in these pairs.
Even better is that they are machine washable.
The outside and inner sole fabric is small-batch 100 % cotton pongee (tsumugi).
The inside is cotton pile in beige.
The outside sole is synthetic faux-suede in soft brown. Padded with poly cotton.
This cotton pongee fabric is very slowly woven by old style shuttle looms. Not much has changed over 100 years at the small mill in Enshu which is one of Japan's important textile bases.
Traditional shuttle looms require highly-skilled manual operation. Its finished fabrics are less smooth but has rich and airy texture. Many neps (the irregularities such as lumps) are also seen on the fabric.
These days, shuttle looms are mostly replaced by the shuttleless alternatives to weave faster, uniformly, and saving labour.

Care
When you wash these slippers in machine, we recommend to put them in a mesh laundry bag.
Run a normal cotton cycle. Shape the slippers by hand before drying. Pay extra attention to let the padding inside dried completely.
