Bamboo Server Tongue - Shimomoto Kazuho
This is an amazing kitchen utencil made of mostly bamboo. A great original design skillfully created by artistic craftsmanship.
Two different varietes of bamboo material are used for the body and the top part of handle.
The bamboo materials were smoked by the maker's kiln to endure its durability as well as resistance to bacteria and mold.
Bamboo is a very special and interesting plant that has been utilized in many ways in Asia.
With its highly resistant nature to humidity, every Japanese household used to have kitchen tools made of bamboo.
