Fabric Poster by Ajiro Kosuke
This small piece of fabric features Ajiro Kosuke's water colour artwork created for the book, An Unreasonable Expedition of Arthur Mandeville, 2021, written by Japanese writer, Miyata Tamaki.
The book tells a story about Arthur, son of Sir John Mandeville (an invented author of 14th C. book Mandeville's Travels). Ajiro gave a fantastic visual reference to Arthur's journey from the West to the East, all the way to Japan, which is as bizarre and unreasonable as his father's famous apocryphal book.
Printed on light-weight cotton fabric. This fabric is thin, but takes prints very well with the colours.
*The frame in the image is not included.
