Originally made as a Sake pourer, but this item is versatile as tea pourer or for holding any sauce.
This item is hand thrown /glazed stoneware.
Glazing colour is stone grey with a hint of sage. Mottled and coarse matte texture.
The inside the bowl shows a pool of vitrified green.

About the Maker
Ohara Koichi is a highly acclaimed studio potter based in Tokoname, Japan. Ohara draws his inspiration from the raw textures in the nature. He mixes various local soils and materials to make his clay, glaze and slip, which often contain grit. Ohara studied physics at Meisei University before becoming a ceramic artist.
Care
We recommend to wash this item by hand. Not suitable for dishwasher. No microwave or oven please.
